Meshs launches its own call for projects. There are various kind of funds, each one has its own expected scientific objectives.
“Soutien ponctuel and “émergent” funds offer modest awards from 2k€ to 8k€ to promote interdisciplinary research activities, conferences, workshops, and networking activities, predominantly across MESHS associated laboratories.
For more substantial projects, “Structurant” fund can offer awards up to 20 k€. The idea is to structure a research team around a project of consequent size, for a two-year period. The long-term objective is to prepare a future application to more ambitious fundings, such as French national research agency (ANR) or H2020 calls.
“MESHS Short-Term Fellowships program” is a research mobility program financed with the support of Region Hauts-de-France. It funds research exchanges of up to one month. It targets outstanding experienced researchers from all over the world who seek to engage in research in HSS laboratories, located in Region Hauts de France laboratories. Any discipline of the Humanities and Social Sciences is concerned. Applications are submitted by the local hosting researchers and the incoming researchers, who wish to be hosted in one of our associated laboratory.
Activities involving foreign researchers from other laboratories and universities are welcomed, but the application must be submitted by a PI from MESHS laboratories. Please contact Degesci service to be connected with a researcher or a research team from our local community.
For certain grant applications, MESHS research support service (Degesci) will review the application and help the PI and his team to design his proposal. Grant applications must be received by Degesci at least three weeks before the funder's deadline. It will then review the application, liaise with the PI and universities’ departments about requirements to be made (support letter, university institutional signature, budget validation etc.,) and submit the application to the funder.
The research support service provides support in every step of the proposal building, but MESHS team still operates in project management and monitoring aspects once you get fund.
